Care Guide

Your VĀ garment has been designed with care and finished using a Direct-to-Film (DTF) heat-transfer printing process.

With the right care, you can help maintain the quality, feel and appearance of both the garment and the printed design.

Before Your First Wash

We recommend checking your garment and print when you receive it.

If you notice anything that appears damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us before washing or altering the garment.

Washing

For best results:

  • Turn your garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash in cold water.
  • Use a gentle or normal wash cycle appropriate for the garment.
  • Use a mild detergent.
  • Wash with similar colours where possible.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals and stain removers around the printed area.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Do not use fabric softener unless the garment or transfer manufacturer specifically recommends it.

Turning the garment inside out helps reduce direct friction on the printed surface during washing.

Drying

For the best results, air drying is recommended where practical.

If using a dryer:

  • Use a low or gentle heat setting.
  • Avoid high temperatures.
  • Remove the garment promptly once dry.
  • Excessive heat can affect both the garment and heat-applied print.

Ironing

Do not iron directly over the printed design.

If ironing is required:

  • Turn the garment inside out; or
  • Place a suitable protective layer between the iron and the printed area.
  • Avoid applying direct heat to the print.

To help protect your VA garment and its print, avoid:

  • Bleach
  • Harsh chemical treatments
  • High-heat drying
  • Direct ironing over the print
  • Scrubbing or aggressively rubbing the printed area
  • Dry cleaning unless the garment's specific care label states otherwise

The Print

Because our designs are heat-applied to the garment, the printed area may feel different from the fabric itself. Larger or more detailed prints can have a slightly different hand or feel depending on the design.

You may also notice minor differences in appearance or finish between individual garments. This is a natural part of the printing and finishing process.

Colours can also appear slightly different depending on lighting, screens and device settings.

Follow the Garment Care Label

Our care recommendations are intended to help protect the printed design, but your garment's sewn-in care label should always be followed as well.

Different garments can have different fabric compositions and care requirements.

Where the garment care label provides more specific instructions, follow those instructions.

If Something Goes Wrong

If you believe your garment or printed design has a genuine fault, please stop using or washing the item and contact us.

Please do not attempt to repair, re-press, iron over or otherwise alter the print before contacting us, as this may affect our ability to assess the issue.

Our Care Guide does not affect your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
